Monel K500 Material Properties

MONEL K-500 alloy has corrosion resistance comparable to 400, but has higher mechanical strength and hardness. Has good thermal corrosion resistance and long-term tissue stability. Monel K500 alloy has the same corrosion resistance as Monel 400 in addition to its excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties. It can be used as a pump shaft material and is suitable for working under the harsh geological mining conditions of high-sulfur and high-wax oil layers. The alloy has no plastic-brittle transition temperature.

Application areas of Monel K500 

Monel K500 is very suitable for a variety of cryogenic equipment. This alloy is mainly used for pump shafts and valve stems, conveyor scrapers, oil well drill collars, elastic parts, valve pads, etc. Suitable for petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical, electronic sectors.

Monel K500 is also used in the manufacture of turbine blades and gas turbine blades with a working temperature below 750 ℃ on aero engines; used in the manufacture of fasteners and springs on ships; pumps and valve parts on chemical equipment; scrapers on papermaking equipment Pulp blades, etc.
